1980s fashion disasters?
I’m in a questions mood tonight. What’s more, feeling nostalgic for a long lost youth. So what do you think was the worst clothing you wore in the 1980s? Perhaps you hated Sta Prest trousers, waffled clothes, pixie boots. Leg warmers anyone? Baggy jeans ripped at the knees? I’m talking clothes that kids really wore – not the stuff that you saw on top of the pops!

I remember the girls at our school wearing the thickest tights possible and about 3 pairs of socks over the top if they didn’t have leg warmers.
Also, the sta-prest trousers were worn skin tight. V precarious when playing footie during the break.
I never had the legs for skin tight strides so I was more into zoot suits Ala Kid creole & the coconuts I once purchased a pair of very baggy zoot type trousers with a tiger skin print panel sewn into the side seams that could only be seen when u walked they were a bit grim so was the terrible black & tiger skin print shirt that went with them all finished off with a pair of pixie Ankle Boots in the same colour scheme all topped off with a fine mullet heavens be praised that digital cameras were not around then ! and after that mullet horror I had my hair cut very short & started wearing normal clothes but then horror of horrors Bros appeared on the pop scene and my little Sis decided that I looked like Matt or one of the other blonde ones so there started another period of grimness never wore any of that Bros style of clothing though ! cos as far as I am concerned they copied my hairstyle not the other way around !
